This annex describes a method for parsing complex sentences into component propositions and indicating the functional relations between those propositions. That method is applied to each sentence in the corpus, to record values for the variables fed into the statistical analysis. The semantic parsing method is described briefly in section 3.1. The details of the method are presented in the following sections.
